This past year at ACE has been marked by God’s faithfulness. In a year that required flexibility, commitment, and resilience, our global team remained steadfast. Even amid uncertainty, God made a way forward, allowing us to stay focused on our mission: reaching vulnerable children and families and walking alongside them with hope.
While we celebrate measurable milestones, we know that the true impact of our work cannot be captured by numbers alone. It is reflected in restored dignity, strengthened families, empowered caregivers, and children who are reminded that they are seen, known, and loved. Our work is rooted in compassion and guided by the belief that lasting transformation happens in community.
As we serve, we also learn and grow together with the local leaders and families who shape and sustain this mission. We remain committed to equipping and uplifting those closest to the communities we serve, trusting their leadership and wisdom to guide the work forward.

Instead of focusing on the percentage of charity’s expenses that go to administrative and fundraising cost commonly referred to as “overhead”—we need to focus on what really matters: impact. We therefore commit to demonstrate good governance and ethical practice; manage towards results and understand true costs; and help educate funders on the real costs of results.

Did you know that family-based care is a better return on investment?
In a 2020 study, ACE found that family-based care was operationally more effective and led to better outcomes for orphaned and vulnerable children we serve in Lusaka, Zambia.
