Life Saving Milk

A thin, frail woman knocked at the gate at House of Moses.  She had an infant tied onto her back and several small children were walking beside her.  My heart broke as I heard Agnes’s story.  Her husband died of AIDS in December last year, leaving her destitute with six children to feed and pregnant with her seventh.  Agnes knows she is HIV-positive, but because she is on medication (in Zambia, meds for HIV are now free), she has hope she will be able to raise her children.  Her biggest fear was starvation, especially for her fragile infant, Melody.

How grateful we are for partners who send support for needy infants like Melody!  When Agnes left she had a bag of infant formula, another bag of clothing and food for the older children and herself and a heart warmed by love and prayer.  Through our Milk & Medicine program, each month Agnes will receive additional gifts of food and other necessities.  She is no longer alone.  She has found friends.

Names and photos have been changed to protect the children.  The stories are true. donate

You are invited to become a regular Milk & Medicine sponsor for a monthly gift of $20.
