Early this morning, Alfred Shawa, the CACZ Board Chairman and Alice Botha the CACZ Public Relations Officer, accepted a gift valued at 50M ($10,000 by the Communications Authority, the Government agency responsible for all of the nations telephone, internet and cell phone services. The gift giving was filmed for this evenings nationwide TV audience.
There are 20 beautiful new beds, two washing machines, a BIG stove, 50 pounds each of ground nuts, beans, kapenta, (small sardines) mealie meal, Lactogen, school desks, blankets, bed sheets, rice and cooking oil. Every item a necessity in caring for so many children!
The entire team celebrated on the lawn of the House of Moses where the goods were delivered. This is a very large donation, and we are very grateful for the response to our appeals for the children here in Zambia by this well known and respected Government Ministry. May this outpouring continue. Even though the economic situation in Zambia is critical, we are blessed to see Zambians reaching beyond their needs and helping care for orphans and children in crisis. God will bless this sacrificial giving.
For the team,
Sandra
